Todd Gordon Mather Architect

Todd Gordon Mather, AIA, is a nationally recognized architect known for his award-winning work in custom residential and commercial design, particularly within mountain resort communities. He holds both a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Utah. As the recipient of the prestigious Roger Bailey Traveling Fellowship, he studied classical and modern architecture across Italy, an experience that continues to influence his design philosophy today.

After relocating from Park City, Utah, to Lake Tahoe in 2002, Mather has completed hundreds of projects that respond thoughtfully to both client needs and complex site conditions. His firm, TGMA, is highly regarded for its refined “mountain modern” style—balancing timeless form, climate-specific design, and architectural innovation.

TGMA’s process is rooted in advanced design technology, including 3D modeling, photorealistic rendering, and immersive Virtual Reality walkthroughs at their Lake Tahoe studio. Mather and his team coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout every phase—from concept to construction—ensuring continuity and excellence in execution.

His work has received an AIA Design Award and has been featured in leading publications such as Dwell, Mountain Living, Tahoe Quarterly, Atomic Ranch, and LUXlife.
